Birth & Baby Fair Summer Ticket Giveaway!

Adventure/ Baby/ Bay Area Events/ Family/ Social Time

(This post is brought to you by the Birth & Baby Fair) I don’t remember how I heard about it, but I do remember attending the Birth & Baby Fair for the first time when I was pregnant. I had never seen so many local and national baby product makers in one spot. Between meeting the actual product creators, checking out my awesome goodie bag, stocking up on samples, and feeling organic onsies for the first time, I was hooked. I’ve attended nearly every Fall and Spring fair since, and highly recommend it. Each event is different, and there are always amazing people and giveaways. My husband won a $50 Giggle gift card once, and my mom won a Joovy stroller another time . . . I have yet to win myself so I try to bring people along who can win for me. I happened to start talking to a mommy-to-be and grandma-to-be at one of the events and we’ve become good friends! When I need mama spa time, the ladies at Spoiled Mama have always been amazing, and the massages offered occasionally by different therapists are a can’t-miss.

My first baby fair was educational, and once my daughter was born I knew which products I had to try, and all the workshops I couldn’t leave without going to. I went thinking I’d leave after a few hours then spent the whole day at the fair. The whole entire day. After learning about making my own baby food and pregnancy-safe beauty products and such I really looked at everything in my life differently. Now, even after pregnancy I always ask if something would be safe for a baby or pregnant woman, because if it isn’t I prefer not to use it (unless it’s medically necessary).

My daughter is a preschooler now, so all the fun baby stuff doesn’t suit me anymore, but areas like the Nursing Nook and UrbanSitter hosted TotSpot are fantastic spots for me and my little to unwind between shopping and talks. I really like that Birth & Baby Fair event has grown with my family, since so lot many baby fairs focus on pregnancy and the first year then sort of leave behind moms who have older kids. Here, you can have one toddler, a baby, or several kids and still have something for everyone.

I noticed the June 21 Birth & Baby Fair in San Mateo is going to have a CPR class, which is really beneficial to anyone, and there will be so many other great workshops and classes for the whole family, too! I’ll be there, of course, but as a vendor for the very first time (thanks to the sponsorship of the Birth & Baby Fair). Be sure to come to the fair and stop by the Savvy Every Day/Macaroni Kid Pleasanton table (the two websites I currently publish) to say hello, and enter for a chance to win a Speck DuraFolio iPad Air case, or one of our other prizes!

The next Birth & Baby Fair is Saturday, June 21 at the San Mateo Event Center from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. (If you can’t make it in June, there will be another fair on Nov. 2 in San Francisco.) To attend the fair, you have 4 options:

Good luck!

*I am receiving a table (where I hope to reach more readers) at the Birth & Baby Fair in exchange for publicity of this event. Please support Savvy Every Day and the Birth & Baby Fair by sharing this giveaway post.
