3 Reasons to Support Her “Crazy” Nesting Ideas

Home/ Pregnancy

“You want me to do what to the garage? I thought we were just getting baby items ready right now.” Sound familiar? Often we think of the need to “nest” or organize and ready our living space during pregnancy in preparation for a new baby as something to do with just baby. Nope! But you’re going to support as many DIY, renovation and organization projects as possible before that baby is born because it’s extremely important. In this post, I’ll tell you why. Read more

My Modern Bohemian Mother Blessing

Home/ Home Page/ Parties/ Pregnancy

Family and friends were a bit confused when they heard that I was having a mother blessing instead of a sprinkle or baby shower to celebrate my third baby. But I knew a mother blessing was definitely the right choice for this pregnancy and after attending, my friends and family agreed. Read more

How a Barn Door Transformed our Family’s Loft

Home/ Home Page

When we moved into our home we loved that it came with a nice loft. But even though the open space made for a fantastic play area for the kids, it was the first thing anyone saw when they walked up the stairs. Keeping the space clean with a tornado for a toddler and mini teenager wasn’t easy and I really needed a space to meet with clients or sit at a desk and work so we decided to transform the loft into a functional office space with room for the kids to play while I work. It’s going to be a long design process, but I’m so excited to share the first steps! Read more

Home/ Home Page

My grandfather put a lot of work into the floral landscape around his home. It was honestly the most beautiful home garden I’d ever seen and inspired me to try my hand at gardening. My Closet’s Amazing Transformation for the New Year

Home/ Home Page

Before kids, I was one of those Type-A hyper-organized people who never forget a thing and went around reminding others of their own schedule. Everything in my apartment was in a certain place and super clean. After kids? I spend about 10 minutes looking for my car keys before I need to go somewhere — sometimes they’re under the ice cream in the freezer. I’m lucky if just one room in my home has some sense of organization, and to be honest, it really affects how organized or chaotic my mommy brain is at any given time. So to start the year with some sort of sanity, I’ve worked hard — OK, my husband did most of the work — to create a space just for me that can stay relatively organized and clean. Well, except for when my 11-month-old tears it apart while I attempt to shower for the day. But all-in-all this closet transformation is a win. Read more
