What is MommyCon? Here’s a post I wrote about what to expect at MommyCon this year.

All VIP sessions are sold out, but even general admission on Saturday will make you feel like a VIP with the free Kiinde Starter Kit ($40 value) for each attendee, and lush goodie bags . . . plus all of the speakers and workshops.

MommyCon Newport Beach is introducing some great workshops, including: Babywearing Yoga, Sex After Baby, Baby Food Making, Car Seat Safety, Don’t Buy Things That Suck, Tackling the Trickiness of Toddler Pickiness, and Childproofing. These are extremely exciting!

Speakers include: Jessica Martin-Weber of The Leaky Boob, Jamie  Grayson of the Baby Guy Gear Guide, Jamie Lynne Grumet of the Time Magazine Cover “Are You Mom Enough?,” and Dr. Jay Gordon, breastfeeding and infant nutrition   specialist.

I’m very excited about the long breaks between workshops and speakers this time around, too, since that was my only complaint about MommyCon SF. The schedule allows for snacks, breaks, shopping, and exploration between each big event — Yay! Hopefully the businesses at the event match their table raffles to the break times instead of giving things away while people are in sessions, though — we’ll see how it works out. Even though the event is on Nov. 1 at Hyatt in Newport Beach this year, MommyCon has created a fun Halloween party for Oct. 31 in case you’re a family traveling from far away, or simply want to be at the hotel the night before to get to the event bright and early).

I’m traveling 8-10 hours to get there. How far are you traveling? If you’re looking for someone to carpool with join the MommyCon Newport Beach Facebook Group, here!

[…] MommyCon Newport Beach, the last MommyCon event of 2014, was filled with new and exciting vendors, products, and ideas. The breaks between talks made the event a comfortable pace for attendees, and allowed for more shopping and eating. Though there was a lot to see, and I didn’t get to all of it (like babywearing yoga class), there some things that really stood out to me most at the event. Here are 7 highlights from MommyCon Newport Beach. Did you get a chance to check these out? Maybe you’ll see it at MommyCon 2015! […]
