6cupApples (Gala, Fuji, Granny Smith depending on preference) This should equal to 3-4 apples
0.25cupSour cream
0.5tspBaking Soda
0.75cupBrown Sugar (packed)
1cupRolled Oats
1dashNutmeg (If you really like it, go to 1/4 a teaspoon)
0.25tspSalt (I like Pink Himalayan salt)
1dashCinnamon (If you really like it, go a full teaspoon)
tbspAll-Purpose Flour
0.5cupAll-Purpose Flour
0.75cupSugar
0.25cupButter
Instructions
Heat the oven to 375 degrees
Wash, peel and slice apples
Butter or spray the bottom of a pie dish
Add apples, sugar, salt, nutmeg and 2 tablespoons of flour to a pie dish
Mix ingredients well
In medium sized bowl: Combine oats, flour, brown sugar, sour cream, baking soda, and sugar to mix well (until all dry ingredients are moist)
Place in oven for 30-40 minutes (or until top is golden brown and apples are tender). Add foil and continue baking if apples are not thoughourly cooked by the 25-minute mark
