The immediate postpartum is when your baby is born, the placenta is being delivered, and you’re in The Golden Hour with your precious baby. We tend to think of this as part of the birth experience but my friend you are postpartum! This is a part of postpartum that families are typically ill-equipped for so when they go home from the hospital or their homebirth midwife leaves, they often feel lost. Let’s change that.
