I don’t usually decorate much outside other than the door and porch so this is always fun for the kids. I recently shared a ball drop video where Wes was so excited because he saw how happy his actions made us (we all said “yay!”). Building that intrinsic joy and ability to want to work at accomplishing something is so beneficial. Not just for praise (though babies do love that) but sense of self ability and inclusivity. But all the kids go to different schools and now I need to figure out mealtime for a hungry 10-MO, school kids, and a 3-YO after preschool before picking up the next kid from school a bit later… oh and feed myself so I can breastfeed and function). Placing an object inside something is a skill Wes has been working on in different ways through his @lovevery subscription for months (experimenting with how the felt balls, light balls and wooden balls drop differently in the object permanence box has been his fave) but during month 10 this new concept of all the things he can put in his little bag and take back out has been another level.
