Have you heard of CST? I kept running into postpar Have you heard of CST? I kept running into postpartum clients in need of CST due to birth trauma, ties or other tightness concerns so I started training in infant CST last year to add it to my offerings for lactation clients. I love having a list of referrals and resources for families but sometimes more people to call and appointments to make can be a burden on these already emotionally spent parents so I am working to make life easier for them any way I can. I’ve been through the roller coaster of lactation issues, ties, figuring out tongue mobility and more as a parent myself and know it’s a lot to handle. All of the info is shared in pieces and you’re lucky if you pieces it together from the different experts by chance. Parents need answers and tools now, not more hoops to go through… and I’m slowly working on helping with that ❤️

Expecting parents 📣: Have you prepped your snac Expecting parents 📣: Have you prepped your snack bowls yet?

Some snack bowl ideas (also at the link in my bio) that you can pick up using @target Drive Up:

*OMEGA-3 Trail Mix, https://howl.me/cjJroMiLrda

*Freeze Dried Strawberries, https://howl.me/cjJroHMK3CE

*Raspberry Hibiscus Sparkling Water, https://howl.me/cjJrnK59WwR

*Cashew Butter & Chocolate Chip Date Bars, https://howl.me/cjJq94C4A3h

*Organic Banana Chips, https://howl.me/cjJrdpLFtuJ

*Cashew Cranberry Nut Mix, https://howl.me/cjJq9vIOYJH

Shelf-stable items like nuts (and single-pack seaweed for the iodine!) are great to have around the home in areas you may be nesting, resring, feeding, or nap trapped after bringing baby home. Whether you lactate or not, you need to replenish your stores AND keep your energy up (new parents sometimes forget to eat). You’ll of course want your giant water bottle to stay hydrated but some fun hydrating drinks can be left in these areas, too!

Pregnancy is simultaneously second-guessing yourse Pregnancy is simultaneously second-guessing yourself and never before feeling so connected. It’s creating a self you never knew existed. An outcome unkown. A power so great it’s often diminished. It’s a raw beauty and certainly not a linear journey. ✨

In my corner of IG every day is a day to shed light on maternal mental health and ways to help, but I wanted especially highlight some information throughout this month - today’s info is on pregnancy.

Did you know that “postpartum” is a period and not a mood disorder and that the term was changed from “postpartum mood & anxiety disorders” to Perinatal Mood & Anxiety Disorders (PMAD) to spread awareness of the fact that PMAD can start while pregnant? Experiencing PMAD while pregnant is likely underreported with a shared rate of 1 in 7 pregnant people. If you are experiencing symptoms of PMAD while pregnant (or have in the past) you are NOT alone. You are not a bad person. A few ways to lessen your mental load:

1. Speak your fears in a safe space and find solutions. Whether someone else thinks it’s a big deal or not, it is to you. Working on these fears not happening by speaking up now can relieve a lot of worry and anxiety.

2. Set boundaries now and for later.

3. Share the to-do list any way you can (this may include paid help)

Save this post for later then share with a friend and follow me for more tips ❤️
